This time Al-Aqsa announced the liberation of the mosque.


Recently, the historic site of Hagia Sophia in Turkey has been converted back into a mosque. History says that this installation was built in 538 AD.  After a long period of use as a church, it was converted into a mosque in 1453.  Then in 1934 it was declared a museum by the then Turkish government.  After a legal battle, the court ruled that Hajia Sophia is now a mosque again.

 Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced the salvation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site for Muslims, after the historic Hagia Sophia was converted into a mosque.  This information was found in the report of Jerusalem Post, Islamic Information.

 According to the Turkish president's website, the journey to liberate the Al-Aqsa Mosque has begun with the restoration of Hagia Sophia as a mosque.  The restoration of Hajiya Sophia is the first step in reviving the hopes of Muslims and oppressed people.

 It should be noted that Hagia Sophia was built in 536 AD during the reign of Justinian I, the emperor of Rome.  Since then it has been the largest interior space in the world and the first full-blown dome.

 In 1453, Sultan Muhammad Fatih conquered Istanbul, bought it and waqfed it as a mosque.  471 years later, on 24 November 1934, the cabinet of Kamal Ataturk turned it into a museum.  After 6 years, it was decided to use it again as a mosque.
